The reason Zoe didn’t make the easy tag out
at home, was because the plate ump was calling “foul ball” in her ear. So what would have happened if they challenged it and the ball was determined fair, which it was? Does the run count or does she go back to 3rd base.

Foul ball on the ground is a dead ball
Did either ump raise arms and call "Foul" officially?

Yes, the plate ump had arms up yelling foul ball.

I figured as soon as he yells foul it’s like an inadvertent whistle and
Can’t challenge. Plays dead?

Unless the rule changed, you can’t reverse a ball called foul
