CBS had an interesting story on the NiJaree effect
“No title, but NiJaree Canady brought the crowd, the spotlight and the cash to a sport that's ready to erupt.” They noted an Interesting parallel to Carlin Clark and women’s basketball. And finally, to have Texas coach Mike White saying that it’s hard to compete in today’s world???? His quote: “In some respects, it's great that these athletes are able to kind of earn a living now, or get paid for what they do, and that's awesome. But it's also hard to compete." Poor Texas. Not so much, IMHO

I would think her returning would be a real recruiting boost
Especially with the transfer portal.

Haven't the women had better rating than the men for several years?
The non-final games set all kind of records.. "According to ESPN and Neilson, Sunday's matchup between the UCLA Bruins and Tennessee Lady Vols was the largest audience since 2015 and the best non-finals game on record. The viewership for the broadcast contest between the two teams on ABC hit 2.2 million viewers and peaked at 3.9 million."

Here are the 2024 TV ratings for both the Men's CWS and the Women's CWS...
the women's finals last year averaged 2M viewers over the course of the three game finals. The men's finals averaged 2.82M last year. Both tournaments this year have been really strong and entertaining. Will be interesting to see where they fall after both tournaments conclude this year.
