UVA game experience -seating
We attended yesterday’s game in Charlottesville. Arrived early only to find the gates do not open until one hour prior to first pitch. So 5 pm. When we entered we were greeted nicely by an usher who instructed us that we could sit anywhere except the blue chair backed seats that were the center section directly behind home plate. He said they were reserved and nothing more.
So we sat along the first base side and many other hokie fans began to fill in around us. All wearing the proud maroon colors. A few minutes later two older gentlemen walked together. One wearing a VT hat and the other a UVA hat. They joined our section together and took their seats.
A few minutes later the wife of that uva gentlemen walked in and was heard saying she did not want to sit in the hokie section and motioned for her husband to join her as she took a seat in one of those blue reserved seats. A few minutes followed before both gentlemen moved seats to join her behind home plate.
Then an usher approached the hokie man and told him he could not sit there with his friend who had invited him. Seems those seats were reserved for uva fans. A lengthy conversation was held but to no evail. I thought the seats were purchased and the buyer should have been able to use them as they pleased. But it turns out that there was no fee paid for any seat! 100% free admission.
We need to bury that team and their fans today and tomorrow !!!

Write your state reps. They subsidize their ticket sales with tax dollars..

Is that even legal? If they aren’t purchased, how can anyone claim them?
