Cal has 9 players in the portal

Six of the players started 22 or more games this season including two of their three leading hitters, Butler (.361, 10 HRs) and Bell (.347, 15 HRs). Anna Reimers started 18 games for them is also in the portal. I wonder if the east coast travel played a role.
