Payton List's season comes to an end in the state semi-finals, BUT
Just watch her post-game interview on twitter.
They dropped a heartbreaker 2-1, which they lost on an infield single in the bottom of the 7th, breaking their 42-game winning streak.
As the reporter wrote "I know it can’t be easy for a high schooler to get in front of the camera for an interview after such a devastating loss, but I’m lucky to cover athletes like Payton List who are as kind and humble off the field as they are talented and ferocious on it." In an earlier tweet, he called her "Truly one of the WPIAL’s greatest athletes ever"
I think she is going to make one heck of a Hokie. And listen to the very end of the interview about heading off the VT: "I'm going to start doing the workouts they sent me. As soon as they tell me I can head up, I'm right there. I'll do whatever they need me to do."
Yep, I think she is going to fit right in to Hokie Nation!
