John Battle, my alma mater, had short fence at the football field crossing diagonally in LF and back of dining hall and athletic department in CF. It was wide open parking lot in LF. Jimmy Farmer, (Bristol) Virginia High, hit a homerun that cleared the building, including the band/chorus areas on the other side. It may still be in flight.
