Sorry Lynchburg paper dropped the ball on VT@LU games
The announced crowd for the VT-LU softball game was 1114, I believe, or something close. Supposedly second to a Tennessee game several years ago.
On Tuesday, the Lynchburg paper could have had an article about the #2/#3-ranked softball team coming to town and the ranked baseball team coming to town. Maybe the "marginal" fans would have come to the game, thereby helping break the record which was only about a hundred more. (Plus, I didn't see as many local HS/younger players there, at least behind the VT dugout.)
Yet, there was another article on Scottie Scheffler winning the Masters (could've waited a day), Washington Nationals might be sold (could've waited a day), and other routine MLB stuff.
The LU baseball stadium was crowded. I believe an hour is not enough difference--felt some people made the decision to go to the BB game instead of starting with the SB game. I stayed to the end, then went to the BB game. Made me realize why I like SB much better. (But the Hokies were launching rockets there too. Multi-shots in same inning!)

The Lynchburg paper is a joke anymore. Its daily addition is 2 pages long.
