There's no question the "act like you've been there' adage is pretty . .

. . . much dead in virtually every sport. Have you watched major league baseball? A walk-off BB in game 55 of a 162 game season is celebrated more than Mazeroski's WS home run. Every athlete is looking to create a youtube moment. Better get used to it or just spend your time watching Gunsmoke reruns on that old people's channel.
