I coached 20 years and my teams found the balance between letting loose and getting to work. Pete said he has changed where he has allowed more as long as it does not get in the way of locking in. Their reaction was not because they knew they were not going to host for the graduation reason (I don't know this for sure). They knew they were not going to host....even if they hoped for an outside shot... They reacted throughout the evening when teams were placed. For example, they really reacted to the Belmont placement with Alabama.
