Not at all. Have coached a little in multiple ones

And watched a ton…but not an expert. I’ll defer (If you follow me here) moreso to the coaches know and don’t teach the mistakes we see. So, most of the time I’m going to to agree with the “execution” was poor by players vs “preparation” was poor by coaches. I can tell the difference between a fundamental mental mistake that’s definitely not coached that way vs a physical one. It’s very difficult to get young people under age 22 to execute precisely the way they’re taught in practice. When that does click it’s great. Coaching decisions are hard to critique too much also because of not exactly knowing practice habits vs game performance etc It’s more a “debate” about…wonder why decision “x” was made…but I’ll acknowledge…more attention is paid when a decision does not work vs when one does. Everybody remembers the failures and what ifs over the successes that should be credited to the coaches in addition to the players’ good performance ** Edited by hokiepro at 2/24/2025, 11:35:48 AM
