Can only remember one time in the last 8 years when a Softball Hokie player said they were looking to hit a homerun in a particular plate appearance. ( Alex Milius) 'Hit the ball hard and the Home Runs will come' has been the philosophy of every Hokie player and coach in the last coaching era and every interview I have heard. IMHO, The 'multi year issue" is we have a lot of Home Runs hit due to looking to hit the ball hard.
