. . . hit .240 with 21 HR's, averaged 3.5 runs per game and committed 62 errors. That error total is terrible considering opponents struck out an astounding 788 times in 68 games. That's 11.5 of the required 21 outs (7 innings) accounted for in the circle. In other words the defense playing behind AT only had to get 9 outs.
