AUSL is a transition of the Athletes Unlimited league from last year
The inaugural season will be touring teams in 10 different cities (Rosemont, IL; Wichita, KS; Sulphur, LA; Chattanooga, TN; Norman, OK; Omaha, NE; Seattle, WA; Salt Lake City, UT; Round Rock, TX; and Tuscaloosa, AL), and will feature four teams, the Bandits, the Blaze, the Talons, and the Volts.
They will play a 24-game schedule. Each team already has a base roster from last year's AU participants and the rookie draft will round out those rosters.
The AUSL plans to become a city-based league starting in 2026.
