There was a feeling layton was holding GT until the bats coukd do more
When the score was 3-1. The late cover of the ball by layton going to 1st and the fluke ball off layton’s foot allowed gt to separate.
Bats had chances early but hits were to peple. We loaded the bases and hot people on but strikeouts or fly outs ended hokie threats
