I'm on record here and elsewhere... the random media outlets selling subscriptions to see their under-analyzed polls is meaningless. I don't know everyone who is in the SA top 100 because I'm not paying one damn cent to see it. When they make their top 25 teams list public and it contains crap I get to say it is crap. When other much more respected entities like the NFCA have lists that appear more fair (and I'm not just talking about VT's placement) that furthers my beliefs of why I consider those by the money-maker outlets crap. The same goes for ExtraInnings, and to a lesser degree D1. They're all just trying to make a buck and their staffs are stretched way too thin. ESPN rankings seem to get the attention that they deserve, so I'll exclude them from this same degree of criticism. You have historically been such a balanced and reasonable poster, despite your daughter playing in C'ville. It feels like your "surprised at this..." post was a deliberate attempt to get under skin. Your point is valid that fans like to believe good news, but your motive... questionable.
