2. Need a slapper in the middle to bottom part of the lineup.
Over the past month, our OBP in the 5th through 9th spots has fallen, and it wasn’t great to begin with. Peck, Louko/Martin, Chatfield, Aldridge, Rohs just haven’t been getting on enough. ***an is the only one that has been better over the past month.
Ritter, Greene, and Cori are good at getting on (or hitting homers). But then the bottom of the order is just leaving them out there. We are also getting a lot of solo home runs, even from Cori (and Chatfield, when she was hitting better).
The answer, I think, is a Kelsey Brown type slapper/speedster in the #7 or #8 slot as the DP. You have to have someone in the bottom of the lineup that can get on consistently. After the 1st inning, that even helps Ritter because it could turn a lot of her homers into 2+ run shots instead of solo shots.
If it were me, I might think about Blackwell or McNelly as DP instead of Martin or Louko.

If you have only 1 slapper, they need to be either 1 or 9. Runners on base
