I had a high level summary post before across all conferences, but figured it was time that I showed some VT specific data. Here is a quick write up with some charts showing how VT has done over the past five seasons for tv viewership. All data is in thousands (so 1,000 on the chart = 1 million viewers). I like to have a clean comparison across teams so this is only showing regular season games. The bowls, conf championships, and playoffs obviously get much bigger viewership numbers so it can skew the data for teams who are in those games. And that's why I filtered it out. But I'm specifically mentioning it here because in articles and social media, others will only post the season totals/averages and I consider that to be heavily biased data (because it includes the playoffs, bowls, champ games).
