B12 Commish saying BYU should get n playoff, not ND π no Jim Dame Phillips
remarks in this one. Heβs gone stealth when the Conference needs him the most. Miamiβs Coach Cristobal is fighting for his ACC team though.

would not be ranked above JMU with 5 losses. If UVA wins they are likely in with their ranking. They talked about on ESPN this morning.

the rules for making the Conference Championship are ridiculous, but look who is leading the conference. That's all you need to know about ridiculous.

and Ohio beat Miami OH head to head, and Miami got in over them because of some messed up tie breaking rules.
If anyone has a beef about not getting in, it will be BYU. After all, they beat SMU last year head to head, had the same record, but SMU got into the playoffs.
Guess it's a double edged sword.
Even in they go to 16 or more, there will always be controversy. That is why I think the more teams in the playoffs, the better. let them win themselves to the national championship, rather than be voted into it.

I also think you should have the option of playing during week zero or a bowl game. Bring back or create some rivalry games, Kansas Mizzou, Oklahoma Nebraska, Pitt West Virginia, Virginia Tech Tennessee, Virginia and Maryland etc. The off season talk would be off the hook, the ratings would be spectacular, and it's much easier to get in the playoff with an early season loss versus a late season loss that happens to half the teams in Conference Championships. 50% of the teams are penalized for playing in the Conference Championship game. Even if they make the playoff, their ranking probably falls.
