Been saying more $ for advancing further is coming to NCAA 🏀, here we go!!
Unequal sharing for basketball too. I laughed that someone responded that based on history the B12 should get 4 Automatic Bids and the B1G 1. If you go back 10-20 years, you could say the same for the ACC and SEC. That’s a side bar though kinda funny, the big story is more money in basketball, just like football playoff for schools that go further. It all of sudden makes sense while a ho hum football program like UNC, has been valued so much lately.

It’s just two more units.
Which, if they expand the field to 72, it’s 6 more units, and those 6 units will be gobbled up by the power conferences. (Big East is about the be a Power Conference in the House $ NCAA Tournament). So while the units will shift even more towards power leagues, the sharing per unit won’t be unequal.

Agreed it’s not much now, but history says this is the beginning not th end
of the road. Like College 🏈, it started small and then grew significantly. The first step though small is the hardest step. Many believe the expanded tournament is coming, that will likely be the next step to expanding more money for going further. Expansion almost happened for 25-26, but many think it is just a matter of time before it is passed. Then the early rounds fund the NCAA’s mainly Olympic Sports (a drum that is getting beat hard so the USA does well in the Olympics), then the later rounds are paid out like those that make the Football Playoff.
