Follow-up on the NC bill mandating UNC/NC State to play ECU App & UNCC
Bill was stopped in committee. It is dead (for now).

I can see it if they are historical rivals that the state wants to see
played every year. But I don't think anyone in the state considers NC State vs. Charlotte as must see.
I will say this though. When it comes to G5s, I think the Appalachian State and East Carolina are good combo. In many years, they can beat UNC and NC State. Good followings. ECU has one of the best home attendance of any G5 (them and Fresno State). And AppState, which is relatively new to BCS football is one of the more winning programs historically (before and after becoming FBS).
They became permanent legendary status (PLS) for me when they beat Michigan. I didn't even know what state they were from before that game. You talk about putting something on the map. Now I will hope to make it to Boone, NC for a game sometime. Looks awesome.

not only for football but other sports as well. It does kinda leave open what happens if they wind up in different conferences.
Interesting history of the ECU series among UNC and State is presented though. Nothing going to happen this year though. Might raise its head in the future.

reached a point where the next move would have been to put it to the floor for debate. They got their headline, and it will be shelved indefinitely in my opinion.
