The votes aren’t there for expansion and the phone calls from all of the powerful and influential people associated with Calford & SMU didn’t change the minds of enough ACC Presidents. If the votes for expansion weren’t there on Tuesday, then they aren’t likely to be there on Friday. And if the votes aren’t there by the end of this week, then they aren’t likely to be there in the near or distant future. IMHO, the ACC did the right thing by rejecting Calford and so did the B1G and the Big 12. And if the Mountain West Conference was smart they would also reject Calford and just add WSU & OSU.
