1. Expansion for expansion's sake isn't a winner. There's good expansion and bad expansion. And this can be measured quite a few different ways. 2. Alberts doesn't mention the "expanded for" schools and the lack of winning. Nebraska had been awful since joining the Big Ten. Miami has underperformed quite miserable, too. Of all the schools that left one conference to join another (P5) conference, only one school has won the new conference in their first year 🦃.
