For all the folks who think linear cable will still be a thing in-

5-10 years, read this article. It also mentions that live football (not live sports, live football) is pretty much the only thing keeping people watching legacy broadcast/cable at all. My biggest takeaway from the article is that if Netflix decides it wants to become a larger player in the sports broadcasting world, it would be an absolute game changer. They'd likely be able to directly take on Disney and FOX. I don't think it's very far fetched either - they're already in bed with WWE, and I suspect that the Paul-Tyson fight event they put on live was somewhat of a "proof of concept."
