We all see the problems with the impending NCAA negotiations,

but in my opinion, the cure may be worse than the illness. The NCAA has to recoup their settlement amount, but all they have as income is the media money from March madness. The "power conferences" are on the hook for 40%, and the NCAA is on the hook for 60%? Their solution? Pay everyone less for the next 10 Years until their amount is satisfied. The problem with that is that the solution is spread evenly with all tournament teams and conferences. They have zero access to the conferences media money, and more importantly, they have zero access to the playoff money. How about they use the playoff money distribution as a guide on who pays what out of the judgement. The BIG pays 29% the SEC pays 29% the ACC pays 17% of the settlement the B12 pays 15% The group of 5 pays 9% ND pays their fair share. You can tweak that for the basketball conferences, but we all know, the big money and personal are in football. Stick it to the P2 like they stuck it to us. I assure you, the votes are there.

That seems very reasonable. They have more teams, more money…

Don't know about that, according to Big East Commissioner, Val Ackerman
