The common view is that The PAC is up against the wall and they are being pressured by Amazon and ESPN. The PAC's downside is obvious and concerning: running out of time to sign a contract. We are all overlooking ESPN's downside as though they didn't have one. The PAC should go commando on ESPN and Amazon. Jim Delany kicked ESPN's ass every time he got in a room with them. Here's what I imagine he would tell George K, "ESPN needs your late night content. They are going in to next season without The B1G for the first time in forty years. Next season after that, they lose L.A. What would ESPN ad sales look like if they also lost The PAC and had no properties in The B1G or on the whole West Coast. What will they run in window four while Amazon and FS1 are showing live FB? You may have to play "chicken" with them and threaten to go all-in with Amazon. Can they afford to let that happen? If they don't blink, you may be stuck with a crappy deal of all streaming. So just keep the duration as short as possible, maybe 2 - 3 years. By then the new playoff will be set and the college FB landscape will be very different. Maybe streaming will have found a stronger audience.
