I think the P2 are feigning cautious approval of the bill while they plan

realignment chaos. ACC and Big12 observers see the bill as no big deal, pass or not pass. P2 schools see the mere existence of this law, in any watered down form, as absolutely fatal. Even if the first edition looks completely benign, the possibility for revisions at any future time would make it radioactive to the P2. I predict that they will get out ahead of it. Just the opinion of a realignment junkie who just can't get by on Sac St to the MAC and NDak St to the MWC.
