Na, I'll shoot from the hip, it's more my style. I'll also base my

conclusions on what has been reported by the B12, and comments by the athletic directors. Until they release the documents, it's all we got, until they tell us otherwise. The conference bylaws state the distribution process. If you signed on the dotted line, and the ACC owns the rights, then you signed based on those by laws. By changing the distribution formula, are you not changing the agreement between the members and the conference?

ACC absolutely open to expansion, Jim Phillips tells ESPN
hokieZ71 07/27/23 10:19 PM ET
The key comment is," has not found enough value in any expansion option"
wwhokie1 07/28/23 09:46 AM ET
No that’s the wrong quote. You gotta pay attention to the wording (inside)
hokieZ71 07/28/23 11:15 AM ET
Actually not the wrong quote, just a different quote.
wwhokie1 07/28/23 06:12 PM ET
To be fair mine was quoting “league officials”
hokieZ71 07/28/23 07:40 PM ET
He makes it sound like he's quoting league officials but doesn't actually
wwhokie1 07/29/23 09:55 AM ET
Reading comprehension......
2hhoop3 07/29/23 10:47 AM ET
He just failed to mention the only three options that would really work
Vippie1 07/28/23 09:15 AM ET
Oregon and Washington would reopen our TV contract to negotiations
Truthahn 07/28/23 09:39 AM ET
Oregon and Washington are looking to the big 10 not the ACC.
wwhokie1 07/28/23 09:51 AM ET
Adding a California school would be huge for ACCN subscriptions, no?
Maroon Baboon 07/28/23 12:26 PM ET
The ACC is the best option to keep Oregon and Washington with closer rivals
hokieZ71 07/28/23 11:16 AM ET
I feel it goes beyond finances and fit.
Truthahn 07/28/23 10:44 AM ET
I'd be curious to know FSU's opinion on UO and UW.
Maroon Baboon 07/28/23 12:31 PM ET
If FSU files, it also triggers an immediate obligation to pay**
daveinop 07/28/23 08:22 AM ET
Theoretically, could a school join the ACC but not sign the GOR?
HokieAl 07/27/23 11:11 PM ET
ESPN is one reason we have the GOR extended out so far. They wanted to
wwhokie1 07/28/23 10:02 AM ET
Isn't that the Notre Dame deal?**
LonghornHokie 07/28/23 03:32 AM ET
Didn't ND sign some type of a GOR deal?
EDGEMAN 07/28/23 06:32 AM ET
My understanding is that Notre Dame signed the GOR, but since it does not
wwhokie1 07/28/23 10:04 AM ET
The GOR covers all sports but football (Indy/NBC) and hockey (Big Ten)**
TerryD 07/28/23 06:57 AM ET
Maybe the ACC should focus on expansion with hockey schools?
EDGEMAN 07/28/23 07:32 AM ET
FWIW all 15 ACC schools currently sponsors men's ice hockey at the club
VTHokie2000 07/28/23 08:51 AM ET
BC and ND play NCAA hockey, just not in the ACC.
Truthahn 07/28/23 10:14 AM ET
ND home games under NBC contract; road games under BTN
TerryD 07/28/23 03:43 PM ET
I know BC and Notre Dame play NCAA DI ice hockey. They are also one of the
VTHokie2000 07/28/23 10:45 AM ET
No**
2hhoop3 07/27/23 11:25 PM ET
I suppose, but why?
hokieZ71 07/27/23 11:19 PM ET
That's assuming dissolution is a means
SpeakToDamien 07/27/23 11:31 PM ET
FSU, in my opinion
SpeakToDamien 07/27/23 11:00 PM ET
FSU is all Florida crazy, they have no legal alternatives
Mercury 07/28/23 07:40 AM ET
I think FSU and Big desire each other
MrFantastic! 07/28/23 06:28 AM ET
I think F$U is probably not that desired by the SEC
EDGEMAN 07/28/23 07:48 AM ET
Im routing for lsu
Mercury 07/28/23 10:02 AM ET
We shall see how "back" F$U is in that first game.
EDGEMAN 07/28/23 10:39 AM ET
FSU is like Britney Spears on Instagram in 2023
MrBayAreaHokie 07/28/23 01:17 AM ET
I feel like a lot of FSU's "options" are in their heads.
Maroon Baboon 07/28/23 12:06 AM ET
Gonna be fun to see what happens either way.
hokieZ71 07/27/23 11:03 PM ET
Chris Nee is either.......
2hhoop3 07/27/23 10:32 PM ET
For some reason, FSU smells foul here. I mean, the PAC is ripe....
hokieZ71 07/27/23 10:39 PM ET
The thing is...
EDGEMAN 07/28/23 06:36 AM ET
It is doubtful.......
2hhoop3 07/27/23 10:51 PM ET
Dogs that chase cars and actually catch them usually wind up dead.**
RJHokie 07/27/23 10:35 PM ET
Very perceptive......
2hhoop3 07/27/23 10:40 PM ET
WVU, SMU, UO and UW are an odd combination of schools.
Maroon Baboon 07/27/23 10:30 PM ET
SMU?
Marooned 07/28/23 07:21 AM ET
From what I understand, SMU would be more valuable to the ACC than the PAC.
Maroon Baboon 07/28/23 10:28 AM ET
Have to look at who will increase income
mrcaniac 07/28/23 12:17 AM ET
Now that there are no more divisions in the ACC, how would a pod system...
EDGEMAN 07/28/23 06:39 AM ET
More of a hybrid pod system
mrcaniac 07/28/23 10:11 PM ET
Football scheduling could easily work as you describe
obguthr 07/28/23 05:44 AM ET
yeah - if there was ever to be some sort of bi-coastal deal between ACC+PAC
VPI_1998 07/28/23 06:02 AM ET
It was more reflective over time. Not current.
hokieZ71 07/27/23 10:37 PM ET
WVU is the one that makes the most sense.
EDGEMAN 07/28/23 06:51 AM ET
UConn checks a lot of boxes
CappyHokie 07/28/23 01:25 PM ET
Unfortunately the ACC needs football schools
EDGEMAN 07/28/23 02:23 PM ET
We need relative football strength. UConn does not bring that to the table
HokiePride 07/28/23 02:18 PM ET
Are we not desperate? Because I think we are desperate.
hokieZ71 07/28/23 07:57 AM ET
It's a false choice. The ACC and B12 will be comparable
Big12 guy 07/28/23 08:58 AM ET
They surely are. But they aren’t moving until the 7 ahead of them move.
hokieZ71 07/28/23 11:08 AM ET
I think you should.......
2hhoop3 07/28/23 10:19 AM ET
You are right,
Big12 guy 07/28/23 10:46 AM ET
The GOR or......
