I am not sure that applies to the B1G, certainly not on the field. The B1G is largely a creation of demographics, huge state schools, massive stadiums and large fan bases. The eyeballs they generate, with a few isolated exceptions, is driven by these demographics much more than the quality of play on the field. The ACC does not really have the demographics to where an investment is likely to make them more relevant than they already are and with a few exceptions(think UNC, UVA and Miami) football schools are already doing what they can.
