The GOR expressly states it survives a school's departure

That kills the argument that the GOR becomes inapplicable to a school that leaves.

What about credit for making the BCS title game? VT, Miami, Tennessee, USC

I don't think that applies but honestly I'm not sure**

I just got back from “Flugaurville.” Interesting comment re. CFP

The group of 7 are trying to force uneven distributions on the ACC

Do you even know how long court cases like this take?
mrcaniac 03/19/24 03:31 PM ET
Normally yes. They ruled on nil & removing transfer position just recently
3TechFanz 03/19/24 04:13 PM ET
What ACC school will be next in line to sue? UNC?
Old Line Hokie 03/19/24 01:15 PM ET
Legally, UNC can't act unilaterally
LeadingEdge 03/19/24 03:01 PM ET
Yes, a move by UNC would require board approval. And yes, the board
33laszlo99 03/19/24 03:09 PM ET
I think the NC schools might have to sit back and wait

What if the ACC wins in court? How many ACC can actually pay the full GOR?

These suits will be settled ahead of the plague of discovery.**
33laszlo99 03/19/24 02:41 PM ET
Why wouldn't schools like BC, Cuse and Wake demand the ACC
VTCALS72 03/19/24 06:44 PM ET
Well, this is interesting... Who is next? UNC? The ACC is about to

Millpoint 03/19/24 02:20 PM ET
No clue, the issue is with our NBC contract I do not think they
goldendomer 03/19/24 01:43 PM ET
ND would have to beef up the other 7 games they control.
HOO86 03/19/24 02:40 PM ET
2 independent games is not independence, if that happens, it’s a joke.
Stech 03/19/24 05:35 PM ET
I can't see the Big Ten agreeing to that
Millpoint 03/19/24 03:19 PM ET
NBC will push it
TerryD 03/19/24 03:24 PM ET
That's what I think.
HOO86 03/19/24 05:39 PM ET
Big Ten wants ND more than anything else
Millpoint 03/19/24 03:30 PM ET

Wake, Duke, Syracuse, BC...
Old Line Hokie 03/19/24 01:52 PM ET
That would be for the best

I am sure that NBC will not be happy paying us 50+ million for games

Something, or the Big 12 for 3 games. **
goldendomer 03/19/24 02:30 PM ET
How about the Big 12? I'm sure they would take the same deal...
Old Line Hokie 03/19/24 02:00 PM ET
Worth a try!**
goldendomer 03/19/24 02:11 PM ET
Not sure. Big 12 is finally done with Texas's arrogance.
HouClone 03/19/24 02:05 PM ET
I hope the Big 12 does not offer ND partial membership
Millpoint 03/19/24 03:21 PM ET
My school would schedule them in a heartbeat. **
Big12 guy 03/19/24 03:41 PM ET
They refuse to ever return to Morgantown

It would be a hell of an atmosphere if they ever did. **

ND basketball would be welcome. I think they would take ND without

Hopefully they don't add either one**

Note Clemson hasn't filed to leave; FSU wants its filing to leave backdated
daveinop 03/19/24 04:40 PM ET
GOR section is very interesting and specific
HokieAl 03/19/24 12:53 PM ET
The GOR expressly states it survives a school's departure
LeadingEdge 03/19/24 03:03 PM ET
It included Clemson Games against non-ACC too.
HOO86 03/19/24 01:33 PM ET
I agree with part of their claim; that the GOR includes
daveinop 03/19/24 01:18 PM ET
I said by February of next year, but makes you think it’s happening sooner.**
Stech 03/19/24 12:18 PM ET
key is if mag 7 want to do anything NOW is the time
DMV Gobbler 03/19/24 03:13 PM ET
Well, they aren't suing to go to the B12. It will be interesting
Big12 guy 03/19/24 12:16 PM ET
Exactly they want a P2, and I doubt they are doing this with ESPN’s support
Stech 03/19/24 12:35 PM ET
Interesting. FSU is a stretch for B1G with no AAU
HOO86 03/19/24 01:28 PM ET
FSU and CLEMSON already have a P2 landing spot
INSIDE99 03/19/24 02:52 PM ET
MSU wasn't AAU when invited. FSU med school isn't much. NU was AAU, but...
marcbvtgm 03/19/24 02:05 PM ET
Ok. I've heard other people & Kevin Warren say it too. We haven't seen it
HOO86 03/19/24 02:35 PM ET
There is a lot of overlap in the AAU / potential B1G Venn diagram…
marcbvtgm 03/20/24 10:51 AM ET
What does the academic side of UVA think about the SEC where hardly anybody
VTCALS72 03/19/24 01:39 PM ET
They will have five next year
Millpoint 03/19/24 03:06 PM ET
I meant UVA joining a conference that has only a minority of AAU schools.
VTCALS72 03/19/24 06:41 PM ET
I'm not sure, but AAU hasn't been a requirement for UVA obviously.
HOO86 03/19/24 02:18 PM ET
Really?
Vippie1 03/19/24 01:37 PM ET
I don't think they would file unless they have an offer in hand. The SEC
Big12 guy 03/19/24 12:38 PM ET
Agree. FOX has lured both FSU and CU to BIG thinking**
