unforeseen the ACC is unlikely to ever be in the position to force ND's hand to join the league. The reality of ND independence or having their hand forced to join ANY conference hinges on 2 or 3 things. First and foremost, a TV partner willing to pay an amount ND deems sufficient to allow them to compete. Second, reasonable, if not easy, access to the football playoff. Third, a viable conference home or scheduling outlet for all sports other than football. Up to this point none of the parties capable of forcing ND's hand have shown that willingness. If that day ever does come, the decision on a landing spot will hinge on the combination of money first and power a close second.
