CBS is getting a prime B1G game for its 3:30 slot

It probably doesn’t want to be “all in” on a major conference. It had a good thing with the SEC at 3:30 and probably wants that to continue ESPN owns 50% of the ACCN, which makes both the ACC and ESPN significant revenue. It’s not going to relinquish its interest in the ACCN. It’s a good partnership and if the ACC were to expand properly, it’s fair to say ESPN would increase its payout accordingly. That is a fairly old deal and ESPN is definitely in the market for content with losing the B1G. Basically, in the next 12 months we are about to see if Jim Phillips is a power league commissioner or small, regional private league commissioner. ** Edited by hokieZ71 at 8/9/2022, 6:50:49 AM ** Edited by hokieZ71 at 8/9/2022, 6:51:24 AM
