With the B1G going after UCLA/USC...

it seems like the B1G has decided to go west since the ACC's GOR and ESPN's control. With that in mind, what Jay Bilas suggested a month ago about the ACC merging with the SEC may be the ACC's best or even last hope of being in the new Power 2. I doubt the SEC would take all 15 ACC members. I see Notre Dame moving to the B1G. The SEC realistically only needs one school from Virginia and North Carolina. ESPN will determiine who the SEC takes. The SEC may only want 4 or 6 ACC schools. At that point the B1G might take a few, preferably the AAU schools but who knows if the SEC picks UNC over NC State and UVA over Virginia Tech? That could be trouble for non-AAU schools like Tech and State. The other question is how many members will the SEC and B1G want? ** Edited by Old Line Hokie at 6/30/2022, 3:46:47 PM

It looks like USC and UCLA are thinking about leaving the Pac12

Those two wouldn't sign the GOR to the PAC12, so we knew they were looking

Getting 6 teams to move at once is hard. Solution is move just a few first.

If the SEC and B1G cap out at 20 teams, VT is screwed.
