What made CFB great was the regional aspect of it, and then having big out of conference matchups that crossed the country like ND-USC and OU-Ohio State. I even remember a certain team from the Commonwealth knocking off the eventual national champions in Columbus in 2014. The Big Ten now seems to think that playing three patsy OOC games in September and then giving us USC-Rutgers and Oregon-Purdue is preferable. People ***** about the SEC and ESPN (and rightfully so), but I think the Big Ten and Fox have been the most destructive forces in college football.
