Maybe, but this idea of a new conference is fraught with future

litigation. We should not forget the ACCN. There is a non zero chance that FSU/CU ends up in the B12, but I certainly wouldn't put any money on it. I suppose there is a non zero chance that the ACC re forms itself as a MAG 7+, but currently, that is only being talked about on you tube channels, and those are not the B12 hacks everyone here seems to believe are full of it. I'd put my money on the ACC staying together, but will not get P2 money. Maybe FSU/CU have landing spots, and that whole B12 rumor mill could have been started by FSU as a negotiation tactic, just as it could have been the B12 trying to be seen as a P3.

This could all be just a head fake by Greg Sankey.

Only one very insecure conference that is stoking this now

I like the Big XII additions more than the ACC's, but at the same time,
reestuart 07/24/24 11:42 AM ET
i agree that the ACC staying together for a few years is most likely
Vippie1 07/24/24 10:37 AM ET
What makes you think the Mag7 can dissolve the conference?
Sunsetunderground 07/24/24 12:06 PM ET
i dont think anyone was interested in that option at that (or this) time

A Tom Petty song was on the radio as I read the title...lol**
EDGEMAN 07/24/24 08:12 AM ET
Which one? Tom Petty songs are pretty much the soundtrack to this board.

IMO, only taking one or two schools from an entire region is a mistake.
Maroon Baboon 07/23/24 11:11 PM ET
I'm not against more for the ACC as you know.
HOO86 07/23/24 11:19 PM ET
At what point would the ACC need to add teams?

What major network or streamer wants to carry a small regional conference?

Turn that question just a bit and you have your answer
VTCALS72 07/24/24 12:22 PM ET
It could, but the 6 that need to leave will never leave of their own accord
VPI_1998 07/24/24 07:05 AM ET
Well my point was ones that leave to the P2

Tailgate Guru 07/23/24 11:30 PM ET
Academics are a factor.
HOO86 07/23/24 11:53 PM ET
The ACC has Louisville, not to mention UNC
Tailgate Guru 07/24/24 08:31 AM ET
They added them because FSU & Clemson were threatening to go to B12, ironic

Guess that's why ND and Miami were invited to join the AAU

ND’s outlier that plays by its own rules right now, no one else can do that

I totally get them leaving for the B1G or SEC, but the B12 WADR is a 💵grab
