My understanding is that they had to replace it on the fly.
It was basically a giant iPad that they could project stuff on, but the players kept slipping on it and getting hurt because the surface was basically like thick glass, so they hurriedly switched it out for a traditional wooden floor. The wild thing is the women had to play on the iPad surface for their entire tournament.
