Billion dollar valuations aren't what they used to be

During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Bain Capital offered to buy the NHL for a little less than $4B, 20 years later 3 teams are worth over $4B, and about 20 of the teams are worth over $2B each. Even AEW, the current competitor to the WWE, has a valuation over $1B after only about 6 years in operation. Can Flag Football get to that valuation? Without a doubt, it just needs a TV contract, and these days networks and streaming services are desperate for sports content.

Flag football is more boring than a 7-on-7.**
