The Big 10 wants the auto bids

not because they think the committee can't get it right. In my opinion, they want the auto bids for a Big 10-SEC non-con. They could schedule 2 out of the 3 non-cons with each other and then go with a FCS or G5 patsy for home game revenue. This locks out the Big 12 and ACC. I may be willing to go auto bids if it is flexible where # of bids is determined by the conference performance the year before or total of 2 years before. Some sort of formula.

I think it would stay at 12 teams if no agreement

How is 12 too many? NFL has 14 in playoffs

12 is ok provided they start sooner.

That’s the problem. Everything is done separately.
