I would. This is the issue and inequity in a nutshell and paying Clemson and FSU on those metrics is WRONG, IMO. It makes sense, again IMO, to pay for performance and results and it also makes sense to pay to incent programs to invest or penalize them when they just cash the checks with no investment. The Seminoles' issue is not nearly as much the amount of money as the idiots they have making the decisions on how money is spent. I personally do not believe the malcontents should be rewarded for their actions with anything more than payments for performance. If they do decide on viewing metrics they should attempt to normalize the effects by using similar time slots, similar network placements, etc. to reduce the noise, however, even that is not great as not all programs have similar chances to attract marquee matchups.
