These guys seems to realize that there is a narrow timing window to get this done. It probably won't last forever and you need to hustle to get it done when the opportunity presents itself. In 2011, most of the people at VT seemed to be on the same page. If some people had floated an SEC departure, there might have been a very slight chance that a rebellion could have started, but there was no catalyst. We got "poppycock." It's pretty sad that UNC, which is pretty much a lock to get a good landing spot realizes this, whereas VT who is further down the chain didn't.
