VT doesn't need another underfunded varsity sport.
It may not be popular, but VT should seriously consider dropping several sports to "club level" and moving those scholarships to sports that are performing at a high level. Just look at what Clemson did for years...they went down to the minimal number of sports to put more resources into football, and it worked. They were able to climb out of the hole to add sports back as their fundraising increased.
