The pron industry selected VHS as their preferred platform, even though it was inferior to Sony's Betamax.

...but I read about it in an article, so the author may have been pushing a myth, or it was correct. Who knows?
But the Betamax was more expensive than VHS, and that may have been the reason for that community picking VHS? They would get their product to "more customers" that way...lol
