Father Brian's Bourbon Barrel Brown
Only available at the Trapezium Brewery, but you can get it in bombers to go. If ever there was a Hokie-style beer, this is it. Brown ale aged 9-months in used barrels from Buffalo Trace distillery. WOW! the bourbon really comes through on this beer! It's definitely not for the non-bourbon lover.
It's named for a local priest who frequents the pub. Was there last week and asked about it and the waitress said "oh, he's around here somewhere tonight." While waling out, noticed a Vicar sitting at a table (long robes, collar, rosary, the whole schmear...) and while passing, asked "Father Brian?" to which he raised his glass, which, of course, was the FBBBB. Told him I truly enjoyed his beer this evening to which he gave all credit to the Lord.
Killing two birds with one stone, beer AND bourbon.
Article linked says Fr. Capuano. Wouldn't that be Friar and Father?
