SOBW has lost his ever-loving mind...

Son of BW (no, not that BW, this BW) is in ROTC and looking at some very competitive billets once he graduates. All of them require top physical condition, so he has been hitting the PT very hard. Running has been a major part of his regime. Couple of months ago, he was bored over the weekend and, voluntarily, decided to run a one-man marathon. He's run close to that distance, but never hit it. Did it in 3 hours 35 minutes. Keep in mind he's never "trained" for a marathon other than the PT he is involved in with ROTC and his own extra curricular training. He's run 4 marathon distances in the past 2 months. So, this weekend, he organized an ultra-marathon of 52 miles for the ROTC. Did it in 10 hours 14 minutes, nonstop. Kid is going to be a physical beast when he gets to his final rating for his first duty assignment next year. Oh, he's also cum laude, close to magna cum laude on his grades, so he's got THAT going for him...which is nice. BTW, my sticker on my truck reads "0.0, I don't run" Humble brag from a proud dad and not ashamed to say it.
