McLaren had a horrible start, or should I say a not start. Both cars DNFed before the race started. Ouch! They were joined by BOR (Audi) and Albon (Williams) as the other two non-starters. Mercedes showed flashes of their advantage, and it's massive over the field. No one is close. This appears to be the biggest advantage of any team since...two car designs before when Lewis was driving for them. They were head and shoulders ahead of everyone back then, and it's clear they have a similar advantage now. Did I mention it isn't close? The Ferraris are the clear second place team. They showed they can mix it up with Mercedes early in the race before Mercedes decides to stop playing and just drive away from them. The midfield teams are all about the same when it comes to performance. Behind the two (or 3?) front runners and ahead of the two back marker teams (AM & Cadillac). Points finishing order: 1. Kimi (congrats on his first F1 win) 2. George 3. Lewis 4. Charles 5. Olly (Haas is rolling) 6. Gasly 7. Lawson 8. Hadjar 9. Carlos (congrats to Williams for their first points of the season) 10. COL (2nd Alpine in the points) If you're wondering where's Max, he was in 6th place before having to retire his car with 10 laps left in the race. He joins both AMs who had another double DNF. Congrats to Cadillac for having both cars finish the race. For people unfamiliar with F1, that's HUGE for a completely new team! Fingers crossed they'll eventually be able to sneak a car into a points finish this season. It's not likely, but one never knows...
