Surprising link between coffee and liver health

Studies involving hundreds of thousands of individuals have indicated that those who drink coffee regularly, whether caffeinated or decaffeinated, have a lower risk of developing liver disease. One notable study tracked over 495,000 people, monitoring their health and coffee consumption over several years. The findings revealed that coffee drinkers had a much lower chance of developing chronic liver disease or fatty liver disease, especially those who consumed three to four cups a day. Researchers propose several reasons why coffee might help protect the liver. Coffee is packed with beneficial compounds such as caffeine, diterpenes, and antioxidants like chlorogenic acids and kahweol.

My intake is slowly creeping up. I think I'm around 6 cups a day now.
