Is there a place or service to get a firm quote on a new car. Truecar used

To be it. You would get a quote from the dealer, you could shop it to make sure no one wanted to beat it, then you bought the car. I’ve tried truecar, kbb, Edmund’s. It’s like 80s again. I have heard “oh there was a typo and the car is $2,000 more”. I have heard “oh that wasn’t the price to buy the car. That was the price to finance the car.” Any ideas?
