Hiking question - distance for kids
OK I have a question about hiking distances for kids and getting opinions if I'm overthinking it.
At the troop meeting last night the leader stated that a troop is planning a future 5 mile hike. Ages of the kids are K through high school.
I'm thinking 5 miles in January for kindergarteners through around second to third grade sounds....ambitious. Am I wrong or am can the kids do more than I think?
