This weekend I visited my parents and also saw my grandma who is 101 years old and still in her house. In her basement, it is a time capsule from the 70’s and there are many bottles of unopened wine and liquor that could easily be 30-50 years old. Should we toss those? Or should I make good use of the family booze collection from decades past? On a related note, this is the first time visiting where I feel that I’ve crossed over into that stage of worrying about my parents getting old and needing to take care of them. And half of that seems to be just mentally supporting them because they know they are getting older and can’t do the things they used to.
