Hokies, need your input on a pretty unusual topic

I have always been impressed with the knowledge of posters on this Board on a wide range of topics. Someone knows something about every question raised and yes, the humor on the Board is pretty top notch. Here's the deal.....I have a disabled daughter who is 51 years old and lives at home with me and my wife. She has had a job in a mail room for 30 years. Praise God. She has intellectual, communication and motor skills disabilities. She cannot take public transportation nor Uber to work. I have to take her to work every morning and then drive home (I am retired at age 74). 6 hours later I drive back to her work place and take her home. I am trying to work with SSA on either a SSDI claim on my record or one on her record. Does anyone have an opinion of whether SSA would allow mileage on the two round trips that is required every day or would they say I could only count one trip (get her there in the morning and get her home at night)? I am thinking this would qualify as Impairment Related Work Expense which would be a legitimate deduction in meeting the current limit of Significant Gainful Activity (SGA) which is currently $1,350/month. I am also assuming the mileage rate for SSA is $.625/mile which I thought they were following the IRS which went to that rate on July 1, 2022. Might as well tag this question to the above....would the SSA require that she write me a check every month to get this to qualify as IRWE? I have tried the national help desk line an agonizing amount of times, one of the local SSA offices in Houston and a few lawyers. They act like I am asking a one in a million question which is hard for me to believe. Thanks in advance for any thoughts. I love Tech and The Hokies.

Is she claimed as a dependent? I'm just curious and have nothing to offer.**

Would health coverage pick up that cost? Or part of it?**
