"Civil War". Is that kinda like "Jumbo Shrimp"?

I do remember - maybe it was the first day - Dr. Robertson starting things off with a discussion about what to name the conflict. Was it "The War between the States"? Was it the "US Civil War"? "The War against Slavery"? and so on. He wanted us to think about what it was called, what it should be called, and why, to challenge our preconceived ideas. I remember thinking that was pretty cool, and that I was actually getting educated vs taught.
